Today, there are no words.
One of our 6th grade students passed away abruptly last night in a “hospital” in the next town over during a routine procedure. He was a gifted soccer player on our team and he was #1 in his 6th grade class at Respire Haiti Christian School. Beauvoir’s friends adored him and spoke highly of how encouraging, gentle and loving he was. He lived in Gressier with his mother, Madame Carroll, who sews our school uniforms, and his older brother, Carrollson who also attends our school and plays soccer.
There are no words to describe our sadness. Our school is devastated by this sudden loss and even though we don’t understand or know why this happened, we do know that he is face to face with Jesus and are comforted by that.
Thank you Jesus for BEING our comfort.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of ALL comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in ANY affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

“For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.” 2 Corinthians 1:5
Please pray with us for his family, our students and Respire Haiti’s vision for building a Medical Facility here in Gressier specifically for our students and their families to prevent this type of loss in our community.

praying in Ohio, so very sad……praying especially for his mother. I’ve been to a haitian funeral in sept. and they are very different than an american funeral. Praying for grace and strength for you all.
Megan – praying for you, your students and the community in the loss of this precious young man.
This is so said. My prayers are with the family and all of you at Gressier.
Megan, I’m so sorry. Such a fine boy. I’m praying for his family and friends and for good health care in Gressier. Blessings, Daisy

Saddened by this little boy’s passing, but know that he is laughing and happy, sitting on his Father’s lap.
So sorry for your loss. May Jesus comfort you and his family in this time of need. Bondye beni ou anpil. Jezi bagay renmen e espwa.
Megan: This so breaks my heart. Our prayers are certainly with you. I’ve tried several times to email you about our SGA funding you for a trip home (BR) as our guest speaker (and we will help you fundraise). I so look forward to hearing back from you this week.
